Tonle Sap is a huge lake about 15 km (9 miles) south of Siem Reap, which provides more than half of all the fish consumed in Cambodia.
About 60 villages, consisting of Khmer and Vietnamese communities, surround the lake.
Everything in the floating villages is built on stilts 10 meter high over the water: houses, schools, police office, a Catholic Church, markets, a clinic - even a basketball court - and villagers move around by boat only.

Don’t miss the crocodiles at the boat docks!

A two-hour cruise through the Chong Khneas floating village costs US$ 12 per person.
Each boat can accommodate groups of up to 15 passengers.
